    November 13, 2020 / 14 Comments

As you might know that I passed the driving test on 10 August, 2020 from my another article. Since then, I have been trying to make an appointment with IMT to take photo and signature for issuing my first driver’s license card. And finally I got the appointment this Tuesday after 3 months with 2 tries. Thus I feel like to share the experience with you if you are also waiting for a response from IMT. If you are reading this article, you are not alone. When you pass the driving test, you might be told to go to IMT website as soon as possible to make an appointment for…

New updates on 10 Aug, 2020. Good news to share. I finally passed my driving test after 3 tries. Oh Man! The journey was tough! Scroll down to the bottom to check. Since our last blog post, it has been a long time to update about our life in Portugal.  After I settled down basic things in life here in Lisbon, I decided to go to driving school taught in English here early in 2019. I think it is good to share some experience with someone who has an interest in this. If you already have a driver’s license in another country, then you should figure out via IMT whether…

How to See doctors in Lisbon as an expat? Truly From Our Experience

    July 18, 2019 / 1 Comment

Since we moved to Lisbon, Portugal, we were always trying to avoid seeing doctors or any public service here due to the complicacy and the language barrier. However, sometimes things just didn’t happen as planned. You may wake up and freak out with one painful ear in the morning like me. Well, I hope you never do. Last October back in 2018, there was a morning. I woke up with a really painful ear on the left side. In the beginning, I thought it might just be caused by improper sleeping position and ignored it. And was naive to expect it would be fine in a day. But the earache…

Checklist | How I Applied for Family Reunification Visa (Spouse Visa) in Portugal

    May 31, 2019 / 59 Comments

Why are people moving to Portugal? Portugal has become one of the most popular destinations for immigration in recent years. There are many good reasons for people to consider moving here: English is widely spoken, the weather is warm and sunny, beautiful beaches, affordable living cost, easy to get work visa or residence visa with flexible immigration policy, a new tech hub, very friendly country for digital nomads, and a comfortable pace of life. Fortunately, Portugal immigration office (SEF) makes it flexible for non-EU citizens to apply for residence card of family reunification to join their family members in Portugal. However, figuring out how to apply, and what exact documents…

Why we moved to Hong Kong and how to ride the roller coaster life

    April 23, 2019 / 2 Comments

Life is inherently risky. There is only one big risk you should avoid at all costs, and that is the risk of doing nothing. Denis Waitley We have been living in Hong Kong from Aug 2015 to Jun 2018, during which period we gained new friends, challenging life experience, as well as my master degree, our jobs and startup adventure!
